Privacy Policy

Ginkoia SAS builds strong and lasting relationships with its customers based on mutual trust: maintaining the security and confidentiality of its users’ personal data.

The aim of this privacy policy is to set out the measures and commitments undertaken by Ginkoia SAS to respect our customers’ data.

This policy may be updated in line with the legal and regulatory context and the requirements of the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL).

Ginkoia SAS is careful only to collect and process data as strictly necessary in light of the purpose for which they are processed (the principle of data minimisation). When you consult our site, we are required to collect the following types of data:

  • Identity data
  • Professional data
  • Contact data
  • Location data (IP address, home address, business address)
  • Connection data (cookies): you provide us directly with some of these data, in particular when you fill in forms to request information, a demonstration or a call-back or to download documents (e.g. the white paper) from the Ginkoia SAS website. We also obtain some data with your consent when you browse our website by using web technologies, in particular “cookies”.

Ginkoia SAS undertakes to enable you to oppose this whenever necessary.

Data processing is underpinned by the explicit consent of the person concerned (the “data subject”). The processing operations carried out by Ginkoia SAS have an explicit, specified and legitimate purpose:

  • Respond to your requests for information, a call-back, a demonstration or documentation
  • Carry out marketing operations such as sending information on products or invitations to events organised by Ginkoia SAS
  • Meet your request to receive our newsletter, “Le Mag Retail”
  • Process your application for a job.

These purposes have also been made known to our Data Protection Officer (DPO) in the framework of completing the requisite formalities.

Data may also be disclosed to any legally accredited authority (under a court order or right of communication, in particular).

Ginkoia SAS only keeps data for the period of time it requires in order to fulfil its stated purposes, in accordance with its legal and contractual requirements.

Ginkoia SAS is committed to a continuous approach to protecting its users’ data, in accordance with the amended French data protection law (“Loi Informatique et Libertés”) of 6 January 1978 and the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 (GDPR).

Ginkoia SAS has a dedicated personal data protection team, consisting of:

  • A Data Protection Officer (DPO) within the Orisha Group
  • A Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

Ginkoia SAS keeps personal data secure by implementing enhanced data protection measures, including:

  • Appropriate organisational and technical measures to maintain the security, integrity and confidentiality of your personal data and, in particular, to prevent them being deformed, damaged or accessed by unauthorised third parties.
  • Our staff are bound by a duty of confidentiality through their employment contract and an IT Charter appended to our company by-laws. We also make our staff aware of the right to privacy and our company’s security measures

We also obtain some data when you browse the website by using web technologies, in particular “cookies”. A cookie is a small file. It contains information such as the user’s domain name, internet service provider and operating system, and the date and time of access.

There are different types of cookie:

  • Cookies required for navigation: these cookies are essential for our sites to operate and are used, for instance, to access secure spaces. Without these cookies it would be difficult to use websites in normal conditions.
  • Analytics or performance cookies: these cookies provide us with information on the use and performance of our websites and help us improve how they work. Users are entitled to modify their cookie preferences at any time.

In keeping with current laws and regulations, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French data protection law, you have the following rights: access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and objection, as well as, when applicable: data portability, withdrawal of consent, and provision for what happens to your personal data in the event of your death.
